Large Format Drawing Print Operator (AutoCad)

We are seeking an experienced Large Format Drawing Print Operator proficient in handling architectural and engineering drawing files. The ideal candidate will be able to open drawings in AutoCAD, use large format RIP software, and operate PageWide large-format printers in both colour and black & white.

Duties:

  • Open and preflight drawing files using AutoCAD and Adobe software
  • Process print jobs using large format RIP software
  • Print large format architectural drawings using PageWide equipment
  • Print small format black & white documents (e.g., specifications, manuals)
  • Bind, staple, and prepare drawing sets for delivery
  • Code and log jobs accurately into accounting systems
  • Scan architectural drawings using large format roll scanners
  • Communicate directly with clients regarding job requirements and timelines
  • Provide troubleshooting and print-related support to clients
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality output and on-time job completion

Requirements:

  • Full-time role: 40 hours per week, with overtime as needed
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is essential
  • Minimum 18 months of Canadian work experience in a customer-facing role
  • Experience: Prior experience in large format printing, especially printing drawings for architects or construction sites
  • Technical proficiency:
    • Strong skills in AutoCAD and Adobe software (required)
    • Experience with various large format RIP software
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook
  • File handling: Ability to open, preflight, and process digital files efficiently
  • Organizational skills: Capable of job coding, file counting, and accurate job entry into production and accounting systems
  • Print knowledge: Understanding of print products, best practices, and applications in large format printing
  • Scanning: Experience using large format roll scanners and small format printers
  • Teamwork: Comfortable working in a collaborative, high-paced environment
  • IT aptitude: Ability to install software/hardware and understand basic server/IT concepts is an asset and will be given priority

Account Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Account Manager to oversee and grow a defined territory of dedicated accounts. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in large format printing sales and be confident in managing client relationships, quoting projects, and strategizing for long-term growth.

Duties:

  • Manage a small territory of existing accounts with a focus on retention and service excellence
  • Strategically grow the territory using proven industry methods and lead-generation activities
  • Conduct regular onsite visits, client meetings (in-person and virtual), and joint strategy sessions
  • Quote projects, process orders, manage large-scale print jobs, and coordinate internal production
  • Follow up on quotes, orders, and client feedback to ensure satisfaction and job completion
  • Respond to client questions and provide guidance on print-ready file formats and specifications
  • Cold-call prospective large clients and work toward establishing long-term contracts and recurring business
  • Participate in sales meetings and contribute to team strategy and planning
  • Perform other duties as required

Requirements:

  • Tech proficiency:
    • Comfortable using Microsoft Outlook, CRM platforms, and preferably Adobe Suite (e.g., Acrobat, Illustrator) for basic preflighting
    • Adobe knowledge is highly preferred, as it enables faster quoting and better client support
  • Product expertise: Solid understanding of large format print products, applications, and installation best practices
  • Business development: Experience cold-calling, securing new business, and building long-term client relationships
  • Lead generation: Proactively engage in activities to generate new leads and maintain a strong sales pipeline
