We are seeking a Large Format Print Operator to run our large format direct to substrate print division. 

Duties:

  • Coding jobs, speaking with clients, working with a team
  • Operate the Flatbed Printer
  • Daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance 
  • Room maintenance (temperature, humidity, cleanliness)
  • Making sure your jobs are done correctly and on time
  • Completing your jobs as quick as possible and of high quality
  • Work with service technicians to maintain your machines
  • Ensure all jobs run smoothly, on time, and of highest quality standards.
  • Work closely with key clients to complete jobs, scheduling clients to come in to see 1st proofs onsite when necessary
  • You will work closely with management to increase departmental efficiency, workflow, and standard operating procedure throughout the department

Requirements:

  • Full-time role: 40 hours per week, with overtime as needed
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is essential
  • Minimum 18 months Canadian work experience is essential
  • Previous experience working with flatbed printers (1 year minimum)
  • Previous printing experience (2 year minimum)

Dispatcher / Quality Control

We are seeking an experienced Print Industry Quality Control Checker, and Dispatcher proficient in checking and wrapping a variety of large and small format printing products. The ideal candidate is seasoned in the printing industry, familiar with print products, can drive and knows the lower mainland area. 

Duties:

  • Checking paperwork against printed jobs, and wrapping those jobs for delivery
  • Job invoicing
  • Receiving Packages, and Inventory Management
  • Creating transmittals and calling courier companies for pick up
  • Scheduling simple and low volume driving routes for 1-2 part time drivers
  • Marking sure jobs arrive at client’s offices on time
  • Assisting drivers when required, and delivering rush orders when necessary

Requirements:

  • Full-time role: 40 hours per week, with overtime as needed
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is essential
  • Minimum 18 months Canadian work experience is essential
  • Previous experience working in a printing or copy shop (1 year minimum)
  • Previous professional driving experience (1 year minimum)
  • Basic knowledge of vehicles – checking oil, tires pressure, etc.
  • Competent to use a PC computer, mouse, and email
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to speak well with customers and staff regarding job status, you are the liaison between the customer/our staff and the drivers/courier companies

The ideal candidate will be able to open drawings in AutoCAD, use large format RIP software, and operate PageWide large-format printers in both colour and black & white.

    Duties:

    • Open and preflight drawing files using AutoCAD and Adobe software
    • Process print jobs using large format RIP software
    • Print large format architectural drawings using PageWide equipment
    • Print small format black & white documents (e.g., specifications, manuals)
    • Bind, staple, and prepare drawing sets for delivery
    • Code and log jobs accurately into accounting systems

    Duties:

    • Manage a small territory of existing accounts with a focus on retention and service excellence
    • Strategically grow the territory using proven industry methods and lead-generation activities
    • Conduct regular onsite visits, client meetings (in-person and virtual), and joint strategy sessions
    • Quote projects, process orders, manage large-scale print jobs, and coordinate internal production
    • Follow up on quotes, orders, and client feedback to ensure satisfaction and job completion
    • Respond to client questions and provide guidance on print-ready file formats and specifications
    • Cold-call prospective large clients and work toward establishing long-term contracts and recurring business
